Headquartered in Dubai, the ICC—global governing body for cricket—has already begun to realize the benefits of the Epicor iScala solution, achieving significant cost and time savings across its organization.

The ICC selected Epicor last year, to streamline the sports body’s budgeting, analysis, tournament accounting and overall financial management functions. The solution, Epicor iScala, is a comprehensive end-to-end suite of proven industry-specific solutions for divisions and subsidiaries of Global 1,000 corporations, as well as large local and regional companies worldwide.

"It was important for us to leverage the advantages enterprise technology brings at a time of dynamic growth for the ICC," Faisal Hasnain, CFO, ICC, commented on the successful implementation of the Epicor solution. "Epicor has strengthened our financial management by giving us a clear end-to-end control over funds flow and its administration as the ICC’s operational footprint expands rapidly in line with the growth of the game of cricket."

The ICC moved its global Headquarters to Dubai in 2005 at a time of rapid rise in commercial revenues from the game. "The ICC’s International tournament business model has been reviewed recently and the fundamental change includes greater direct responsibility for delivering the event, unlike earlier when host countries were allowed greater autonomy. Moreover as part of the restructuring process we have expanded considerably, with growth in staff and a larger geographical footprint. Epicor’s support has been very timely and we are confident that we will gain even greater benefits from the iScala solution in the years to come," said Hasnain.

The ICC was founded on June 15, 1909 by Australia, England and South Africa. These three founding members have been joined by seven further Full Members, 33 Associate Members and 58 Affiliate Members so that the cricket world now boasts 101 member countries from all corners of the globe.
