From simple motor starters to highly sophisticated laser measuring and positioning systems, all industrial automations nowadays involve software control and configuration, says ICA.

“Immediate results have been forthcoming for this new department of ICA; with various projects showing good indications that the Automation and Software Department is integrating well within the existing ICA technology environment and is able to provide support when integrating highly technical systems,” says a delegate from ICA.

“One major fit out in the food processing sector included laser positioning applications as inventory and stock take capabilities.

“These, along with software requirements for conveying control and data tracking, were consuming a huge level of software development.”

For this particular project, ICA’s Automation and Software department engineers used more than 7.8 MB of data and logic memory, which is considered to be at the leading end of large installations, the company says. Also, a powerful SCADA project servicing nine terminals was developed in order to provide for control and diagnostic capabilities to all the functional aspects of the plans.

With this potential in mind, the ICA Automation and Software department is able to provide quick online support and monitoring on a hotline technical support base.

This ensures that all clients will never run out of professional expertise at any time during the implementation and post commissioning of materials handling fit outs made by Industrial Conveying (Aust), a press release shared.
