BANGALORE: IBM India has bagged Asia's largest ever single order of Rs 260 crore to be executed in one year. Unconfirmed reports said that Hewlett Packard was also vying for the contract. The order is for 50,000 PCs from skumars.com to be executed over the next one year. The order value includes full support costs.

IBM India officials, however, not available for confirmation of the reports. Skumars.com, earlier this month had given a equally big contract to Hughes to supply 50,000 very small aperture terminals to be installed across the country. It plans to have a strong franchisee network in the country for e-commerce business.
