IBM Lotus Support Center in Pune

NEW DELHI: IBM has launched the first IBM Lotus Technical Support Center extend support services on Workplace Portal and Collaboration software (WPLC) to its clients in the Asia Pacific region.

The Pune-based centre will also enables its clients to respond better to their business needs. IBM has seven WPLC support centers worldwide.

IBM said in a statement that strong technical support services are an integral part of IBM's commitment to clients. Besides, an expanding regional client base makes it imperative to be located closer to the client's operational geography and time zone.

The support center in India is positioned to deliver timely skilled technical assistance to the clients at optimal operating costs and with a sound understanding of the working environment and culture of countries across Asia Pacific.

Doug Cox, vice president, workplace portal & collaboration Software Technical Support, IBM said, "The setting up of the IBM Lotus Technical Support Center in Pune will meet growing client demand for efficient, high-quality support services. This is the first time that an IBM Lotus support center is being set up in India to cater to customers across the APAC region."

The center will provide 24X5 customer support with pageout options on weekends. This team will handle live calls as well as electronic service reports (ESR), initially for Lotus Notes Domino Client and Server and Lotus Workplace Web Content Manager products.
