The release was announced during the company’s annual meet for developers. The latest version has features such as support for global distributed development; SoA governance and regulatory and internal compliance.

“Studies show that transfer of development work to offshore locations causes one increase in costs during the initial transfer and the need to monitor work. It has been demonstrated that using Rational software actually helps companies recoup some of these losses,” said Michael Rhoads, director, APAC, IBM Rational.

“Today the Indian software industry is challenged with the complexities of a globally distributed application development model. Application development organizations need tools with features that enable globalization and process distribution,” said Sunil Kinger, country manager, IBM India Rational Software, Software Group.
