NEW DELHI: IBM Net Generation Business has announced its new business
initiative 'Blue Velocity' with a four-pronged targeted approach which includes
programs, partnerships, people and offerings to help Internet companies and
service providers speed their path to profitability.
Among the programs enhanced under 'Blue Velocity' is ASP Prime. ASP Prime is
IBM's flagship program that provides education, application evaluation,
technical support and a variety of consulting services to help developers and
independent software vendors enable their applications for web hosting.
With the launch of 'Blue Velocity' initiative, IBM is also introducing some
new offerings, which include ISP solution pack, IBM eServer solutions, WebSphere
everyplace access and IBM small business suite.
Speaking on the occasion, IBM NetGen Business Asia Pacific marketing
executive James Kyd said, "The blue velocity initiative highlights the IBM
NetGen's close working relationship and partnerships with key industry players
in venture capital, network solutions and web integration."
With this launch IBM has added two more cities in its NetGen city model.
These cities include Bangalore and Kualalampur.
There are 40 NetGen cities in the world, including now 12 in Asia Pacific
alone. These NetGen cities are headed by NetGen city managers, in order to allow
for faster and easier access to IBM by NetGen companies which comprises of
Internet based firms and service providers.
