The deployment will also help it get better access and control over information flow within the organization and develop an enhanced decision support mechanism to manage business requirements and market challenges, said a press release.

Raheja Universal wanted to set up better tracking mechanisms for payments from various projects and create a synergy across the organization. It also aimed to build an efficient reporting process and integrate their legacy systems seamlessly.

A project called UNITE was undertaken at Raheja Universal to analyse, give insights, and establish a road map. As per recommendations, IBM has deployed SAP ECC 6.0 as the key driver for all their mission critical areas like material utilization control, RA billing, joint ventures, and project revenue sharing, among others, the release added.

“With IBM as our deployment partner and their expertise in the real-estate industry, we have successfully enhanced our existing legacy applications and created comprehensive processes across critical areas to increase operational and business efficiencies,” said Rahul S Raheja, vice chairman, Raheja Universal.

The deployment helped Raheja Universal eliminate disadvantages of the legacy applications and use SAP applications to minimize inconsistencies in the processes. The company was also able to change their procurement model and eventually save cost by having access to a centralize procurement system.

“This partnership with IBM has helped Raheja Universal establish an integrated system, which will enable them to respond better to changing market dynamics and customer demands,” said Sabu Gopinath, partner and SAP Service Line Leader, IBM Global Business Services, India/South Asia.
