IBM bags contract from LeasePlan India

GURGAON, INDIA: IBM on Monday announced that it has signed an agreement with LeasePlan India Pvt. Ltd., a vehicle leasing and fleet management company, to support and manage their multi-vendor IT environment.

LeasePlan is a fleet management partner for many Indian corporates and multinational companies and it helps them design their car policies to day-to-day management of the vehicles, including repair and maintenance, insurance and end of term resale, said a press release.

LeasePlan decided to make a strategic investment in multi-vendor support to manage their IT infrastructure, including hardware and onsite support, across all its locations in India to manage its risk better and enhance efficiencies.

Harsh Yadav, HOD-Information Communication and Technology, LeasePlan, said, “We needed a single point of accountability for all technical support services to manage our complex IT environment. Teaming up with IBM has ensured high availability of immediate and efficient service levels, thus helping us maintain high customer satisfaction levels.”

With offices in 30 countries and nearly 5 decades of experience, LeasePlan manages a total fleet of 1.3 million cars around the world.
