iBall on expansion model

MUMBAI, INDIA: Having expanded its product line by introducing iBall Lappie and iBall Baton range of products in 2008, IT peripheral vendor iBall is now aiming at making additions to its existing product categories.

The vendor will be introducing bluetooth headsets and bluetooth speakers for laptop and mobile users, keyboards, wireless mouse (2.4GHz) in addition to expanding iBall Baton, its networking category of products.

iBall has also revised the dealer prices for some of the products including that of keyboard and mouse, on offer and have lowered it in order to boost sales for particular market segments.

Sharing expansion plans for the company, Sandeep Parasrampuria, Director, iBall mentioned, “We have made some tactical changes to our plans based on the revised market conditions. We are also looking at adding 40-50 odd products to our existing product lines. In 2008, we had registered a revenue figure of Rs 240 crore and are now aiming at Rs 300 crore which is nearly 12 percent more that the previous year.”

iBall will also be expanding its service centers by venturing in newer locations. Currently the vendor has as many as 45 service centers across the country and is now planning to open around 55-60 by March 2010. These service centers will be opened in markets of Kerala, West Bengal and UP. The vendor has recently opened its service centers in Jodhpur and Kota in addition to opening a branch office in Ranchi.
