Xolvr is a Gurugram-based education technology startup founded by Aamir Mojeeb and Mohammed Aqib in February.

At Xolvr, an online one-to-one learning platform, undergraduate IIT students help students from grades six to 12 with subjects such as mathematics, physics, computer science, among others, through video conferencing and using a shared whiteboard.

Post-acquisition, the Xolvr team will move to Hyderabad to integrate their platform into Next Education's self-learning product LearnNext.

Beas Dev Ralhan, cofounder, Next Education told ET, "This deal is based on the potential the two founders bring with them. The plan is that they will build the platform and we will help them scale and grow. If they deliver in the next four years, they will make a million dollars each."

With this acquisition, both the startups are hoping to add a new element to LearnNext by offering students with a platform to access over 50 tutors. The move, which is aimed at adding a human element to the product, will be launched in July next year.

"Students who subscribe to LearnNext will have the option of taking one-to-one sessions with tutors on the platform," said Mojeeb, cofounder of Xolvr.

Recently, Next Education acquired the robotics lab programme RoboLAB from ThinkLABS and InOpen Technologies.
