According to Hummingbird GM (Asean/ Greater China/ India) Bala, sub-contracting will definitely bring about a decline in the expenses, “But we can’t say how much saving it will bring about since it’s an ongoing project.” In Datamatics, nearly 15-20 employees are involved in this job, which initially was carried out in Canada and the US.

Hummingbird, which has a vast experience in implementing information management projects for the Canadian government, wants to work along with the Indian Government for its e-governance projects.

“E-governance is a big buzz word and within that we want to focus on Information Management need which is our strength also. We find a great potential in India for India has not gone to that stage on how to capture electronic data. People have not yet realized the need for Information Management and they are yet to understand G-to-G requirement,” he added.
