Hukku bags ‘Dewang Mehta’ award

BANGALORE: The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India, has awarded Rajesh Hukku, Chairman and Managing Director of i-flex solutions with the ‘Dewang Mehta Award for Innovation in Information Technology’ for this year.



The Ministry instituted this award last year in memory of late Dewang Mehta, founder and former president of Nasscom. The award is given for significant contributions and promotions in the field of IT in India.



The award has been conferred on Hukku for launching i-flex' flagship and world's leading banking solution, Flexcube.



"I am indeed honored to receive this prestigious award. I owe this award to my customers, partners and colleagues. i-flex through its vision and innovative thinking has become the largest product software company in India and among the first to establish itself as a global brand," said, Rajesh Hukku, Chairman and Managing Director, i-flex solutions.



Hukku also announced that he has dedicated the award and donated the prize money towards the ‘i-flex for Child’ philanthropic program that was launched by i-flex on Republic day this year. The proceeds will be used to fund a social responsibility project of i-flex aimed at the upliftment of underprivileged children.
