The bundled solution offers broadband speed and suits organizations that need to connect a large number of sites.

The service blends both satellite broadband and wireline technologies like DSL into a fully integrated Managed Network Service.

The service is currently being launched in two flavors. The first uses either a terrestrial or satellite medium at an organization’s location depending on the feasibility and reliability criteria.

The second one uses both the terrestrial and satellite medium. Over the last year, Hughes has covered 200,000 sites in the US and Europe.

“One of the feedbacks that we got from the market was that customers wanted us to build redundancies on  individual sites. As a result we are offering our customers a service whereby they can choose to build redundancies on individual sites, thus targeting an uptime of 99.99 per cent per site,” said K Krishna, AVP Marketing, Hughes India.
