Huawei to allow security checks: FT

LONDON, UK: China's Huawei  will give clients access to its secret computer code as it tries to ease national security concerns about the company in the United States, the Financial Times said on Wednesday.

A group of U.S. Republican lawmakers last month raised national security concerns about China-based Huawei Technologies Co Ltd's bid to supply equipment to Sprint Nextel Corp due to the company's dealings with Iran and the Chinese military.

Executives of the telecoms equipment maker were quoted by the FT as saying the company would allow outside companies to check its network equipment when competing for contracts
