HTC One X gets Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update

BANGALORE, INDIA: HTC has started the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean roll-out the for its One X smartphone. The update is live for Asian and European markets.

HTC has also confirmed the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS version for One S, though no time line has been set for the update.

With the latest updates, HTC One X now has the latest Android version out there, pending Google's next major announcement regarding Android 4.2.

As expected, the HTC Sense version has also been updated to 4.1, that brings in features like a secure box for messages, higher-res contact pics, calendar widget scrolling, eco mode and the ability to set up the phone the HTC Sense website.

Rival Samsung has already announced a phased Jelly Bean update for its more popular Galaxy S III smartphone.
