HTC fans rejoice: HTC U Play gets a Rs 10K cut; now available on Amazon at Rs 29,990

The HTC U Play that was launched in India three months back for the price of Rs 39,990 has got a massive Rs 10,000 discount and will now be available for Rs 29,990, the company said in a statement while also announcing exclusive online availability with Amazon India.

HTC U Play was already an affordable (theory of relativity) phone in the U series but the 10k cut has surely added to the specifications of the smartphone.

The device is available online via Amazon India in Sapphire Blue and Brilliant Black colour options. Well, you could also avail the zero cost EMI offer available for a limited period. Amazon is also offering up to Rs 2,300 Amazon Pay cash back on purchasing credit card EMI, and one-year insurance coverage for accidental and liquid damages by Cover Plus for free.

The 5.2” smartphone comes with a 64 GB internal memory and 4 GB RAM along with 3D contoured liquid surface and a lustrous, symmetrical, curved glass construction. It also supports additional micro SD cards up to 2 TB. Aptly labelled as the phone that is made ‘For the Playful You’ the HTC U Play comes with HTC Sense Companion.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE with VoLTE, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, NFC, DLNA, Miracast, HTC Connect, and USB 2.0 Type-C. The HTC smartphone sports an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, and gyroscope, weighs in at 145 grammes, and measures 145.99×72.9×7.99mm.

Other features include HTC U Sonic microphones that analyse your inner ears with a sonar-like pulse and then adapts to you. The HTC U Play is equipped with a perfectly symmetric thin design and a unique combination of 16 Megapixel rear and an UltraPixel camera technology on the front that provide vivid light, colours and details to take brilliant selfies.
