"The process industry today is creating more than 2.5 billion gigabytes of data every day, and available industrial data is expected to quadruple in the next five years. Simply put, manufacturers who are able to harness that data will achieve a competitive advantage,” said Andrew Hird, who has been named VP and GM of Honeywell’s new Digital Transformation unit.

Honeywell’s solutions help manufacturing plants eliminate unplanned shutdowns, maximize output, minimize safety risk and optimize supply chain strategies.

“Since HPS’s introduction of the modern automation control system, we have helped plants and manufacturing sites around the world use an increasing amount of data to solve customer’s productivity and safety challenges” said Vimal Kapur, HPS president.

HPS’s IIoT solutions utilize Honeywell’s patented software infrastructure that gives customers a secure and simple method to capture their big industrial data in a secure portal that can be scaled to meet the varied needs of single-site or enterprise-wide operations.
