HP unveils ISV partner program 09

BANGALORE, INDIA: HP's Technology Solutions Group, commemorating the 25th anniversary of HP's Unix OS (HP UX 11i and NSK), today announced the launch of HP ESS ISV Program 09.

The company said that through this program it aims to provide value to its entire ISV eco-system in India.

“During downturn, ISV's are asking for collaboration from HP to enable them grow their revenues, profits, customer loyalty and express value add,” said Faisal M. Paul, head ESS - Marketing and ISV Program, HP-India

He further said that they want to treat ISVs as their partners and are looking to provide value at the entire life cycle development.

HP is engaging with a large base of ISVs and planning joint Go-To-Market to deliver better end user experience.

The company is building HP platforms and solutions preference within ISV teams and opportunities. HP's plans is to work closely with the HP Vertical and Regional Sales on specific – large and complex end customer ISV opportunities. This would bring incremental business for HP ESS in 2009 and beyond.

Talking about the Indian scenario, Shantanu Ghose, country head, business critical servers, Technology Solutions Group, HP- India said, “India is important to HP's overall portfolio. Majority of work happens from India and huge endorsements for Indian software developers come from US and Japan.”

He also added that these days Indians are gaining confidence to leave their jobs abroad and becoming entrepreneur by themselves.

Ghose attributed HP's success in UNIX OS to Indian developers who have played a significant role in developing it.

The company in the HP ESS ISV Program 09 would organize technology workshops for key large ISV’s, provide market data and Information, host the HPUX Developer Forum, and also launch Website hosting & Quarterly ISV Newsletter.
