HP unveils inkjet printers, e-imaging service

BANGALORE: Hewlett-Packard India has unveiled its new generation

inkjet printers and its e-imaging service that will let users upload, store and

share photos over the Internet.



The DeskJet 970 Cxi Professional Series color printer is based on the new

thermal inkjet platform HP Photo RET colour layering technology that combines

the best everyday printing with the ability to produce breathtaking photos,

vivid color graphics and crisp black text, according to the company.



The latest version would be the fastest desktop inkjet printer in the Indian

market and would be priced around Rs 25,000, said HP Marketing Manager Consumer

Hardcopy K. Ashwini Aggarwal. He also added that the printer was designed for

customers who needed their printers to produce professional documents with

superior graphics, text and images quickly and efficiently.



In a month, the company is expected to launch a comprehensive new photo Web

site (www.cartoga.com), that provides online

digital imaging. Users can share photos online by uploading them from any PC,

digital camera or scanner, said HP Manager Marketing Computer Products V.

Krishnan. The global computing and imaging solutions company also unveiled three

new color flatbed scanners _ HP ScanJet 3300C, 6300C and 6350C professional

series. All these scanners incorporate HP's intelligent scanning technology.
