The company has also announced three Xeon-based variants: ML10, ML310e Gen8 v2 and DL320e Gen8 v2, to be available nest month. HP ProLiant MicroServer Gen8 is available immediately for $449 (excluding taxes). The new lineup, HP said, simplifies deployment, management and maintenance of IT infrastructure.

HP India ISS director Vikram K believes that IT is increasingly becoming key to SMBs for innovation, execution and cost efficiency. "We are expanding leadership with entry-level servers and gives best in class service experience," he said. Vikram also said that there was no similar server available in the market.

The new HP ProLiant MicroServer Gen8, company said, delivers reliability, performance and security of a business server in a whisper-quiet design that is half the size of most competitive entry-level servers. It secures and shares critical information through a central server. Data and applications can be remotely accessible from virtually any Web-connected device.
