HP unveils app transformation suite

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Technology solutions and services major Hewlett-Packard (HP) on Wednesday announced the launch of new application transformation solutions for the enterprise sector.

The company claimed in a press conference that the new suite — Application Lifecycle Intelligence (ALI) 2.5 — facilitates organizations to integrate mobile-based apps into traditional computing parlance.

“Modern enterprise applications require a different approach to design and testing than the traditional ones. We are focusing on composite apps,” said Amit Chatterjee, director, HP Software and Solutions.

The company believes that the mobile apps will be on a rise in the next few years. “HP is gearing to test apps for tomorrow's world. The benefits of new ALI 2.5 include enhanced collaboration between the tester and developer as well as faster impact analysis,” Chatterjee added.

Sudhir Rao, CTO, Enterprise Services at HP said that there is a huge shift towards the adoption of mobility apps. “The company is focusing on mobile financial services. We are also working with the government of Karnataka for e-governance platform, including e-procurement.”

HP feels that the economic survival of enterprises depends on their ability to respond to the demands of the customer, generated through enterprise applications as well as social applications, such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

The expanded HP applications transformation solutions portfolio enables clients to design, build and manage applications that drive interaction between people and enterprises while optimizing traditional application environments to deliver an improved user experience.
