BANGALORE, INDIA: For the second consecutive year, the HP BladeSystem c-Class server dominated the TOP500 list, claiming 212 (42 percent) of the 500 systems.

The TOP 500 featured four HP supercomputers, out of the six systems installed in India, including Computational Research Laboratories, TATA SONS and Center for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC).

Faisal Paul, head, ESS marketing and growth initiatives, Enterprise Storage and Servers, Technology Solutions Group, HP India, said: “Customers continue to drive higher performance and increased energy efficiency with blade servers, gaining more value from every IT dollar spent. The continued growth of HP customers on the TOP500 list demonstrates a market shift to industry-standard architectures."

In the Green500 list that tracks the most energy-efficient supercomputers across the world, HP again leads the list with 212 installations out of the top 500.
