NEW DELHI: Soon after announcing job cuts of 10 per cent in its Indian
operations, HP, has announced another 10 per cent cut in the price its
entry-level printer model -- hp LaserJet 1000. The revised street price of the
hp LaserJet 1000 is Rs 15,000.
"The price cut is a strategic move to enable even smaller companies to
afford the quality, speed and reliability of a HP laser printer", said
Hewlett-Packard India Pvt. Ltd., Market Development Manager - Commercial,
Imaging & Printing Group (IPG), Tarunjeet Sarao.
The hp LaserJet 1000 printer is ideal for printing professional documents. A key
feature of the hp LaserJet 1000 is simplicity of setup and operation by
providing on-screen help which allows users to trouble-shoot without having to
refer to a manual. The printer comes with USB connectivity for "Plug &
Play" ease-of-use. It produces 600 dpi images with an effective output
appearance of 1200 dpi. This is achieved by using HP’s Resolution Enhancement
technology (RET) which smoothes the rough and jagged edges of printed text and
line art.
It also features an Instant-On Fuser, Host-Based Printing and N-up printing.
