HP to provide Compaq My Bhasha with its PCs

NEW DELHI, INDIA: FTK Technologies, an Israel-based provider in software solutions, announced on Tuesday that it has tied-up with Hewlett Packard India for providing its Compaq My Bhasha software with Compaq Presario CQ 2000 series line.

The CQ 2000 series offers Compaq Desktops at a price of Rs. 18,990 plus taxes. Targeted towards modern households, each CQ 2000 would come with the Compaq My Bhasha software - a communication enabler, providing vernacular interface, said a press release.

CQ 2000 is a completely new category of PCs, formed and designed to offer an affordable PC to families, young professionals and Internet savvy people who wants much more out of their PCs, it added.

Compaq My Bhasha would only be available for Compaq Presario purchasers, who would also enjoy a chance to win a 32" LCD TV, the release added.

The company has also launched a new portal at www.compaqmybhasha.com

Harel Cohen, CEO of FTK Technologies said: "We are proud to cooperate with HP, India and offer Compaq My Bhasha with this new line of PCs, which makes it possible for every household to buy a computer and will offer a new experience in computing – allowing every family in India to use their computer in their own language.”

He added that every family could surf the Internet, chat and communicate in the language they are most comfortable with. We are sure this solution will start a new age of limitless possibilities to the Indian computer user.

Compaq My Bhasha software provides a natural vernacular computing experience based on FTK’s patented 'LooKeys Pro' technology. The solution, which is easy to learn and easy to use, enables actual transformation of the computing experience to the vernacular language, the release added.

The 10 languages covered by the interface are Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Gujarati, Marathi, Telugu, Bengali, Malayalam, Punjabi and Urdu.
