HP and Nortel tie up for sales and support of Nortel products

Hewlett-Packard Company and Nortel Networks

has announced a network services alliance under which the companies will

jointly deliver network lifecycle services and support, including

consulting, design, support and reselling of Nortel Networks' solutions.

This announcement reinforces Nortel Networks' Unified Networks strategy

to provide a comprehensive set of products and services that will help

customers make the transition from today's segregated voice and data

networks to the single network infrastructure of tomorrow.

As part of the Nortel Networks Global Solutions Partner Program, HP

will resell Nortel Networks' data networking products to enterprise

customers worldwide. In addition, Nortel Networks will offer customers

improved support by leveraging HP's portfolio of network service, support

and financing services. HP has made a significant investment in training

and certification, including meeting Premier Service Partner requirements,

and currently offers some of the most comprehensive service and support

capabilities of all Nortel Networks' Global Solutions Partners. These

services will be delivered to customers worldwide through the Nortel

Networks Global Solutions Partner Program, Nortel Networks' broadest

Business Partner designation reserved for select Nortel Networks Business

Partners.
