HP named leader in innovative mobile applications services

BANGALORE, INDIA: HP today announced that IDC has named it a leader in the "MarketScape: Worldwide Mobile Application Development, Testing, Management and Infrastructure (mADTMI) Services 2014 Vendor Assessment for its Mobile Applications Services.

Following an evaluation of 14 companies against 117 criteria, HP was recognized in the leader category in part for its capabilities in research and development (R&D), financial management and functionality delivered. The report states "HP's capabilities and forward-looking strategy positioned the service provider as a leader in the mADTMI services IDC MarketScape."

Today's announcement highlights HP's commitment to meet customers' demands, expectations and goals for mobile applications services. Through these services, HP delivers a full suite of mobile applications services to help the customer envision, plan, architect, design, build, integrate, test and manage mobile applications for a better enterprise.

Based on IDC analysis and customer perception, HP's position as a leader was secured for the following key attributes:

· Percentage of revenue allocated to R&D in innovation, pace and productivity

· Dedication to R&D investment in mobile applications services

· Revenue and growth rates appear to be higher than the peer group averages, and the firm has been profitable with its services delivery in each of the past three years

· Services offerings in mobile application development, testing, management, and infrastructure contain a strong mix of traditional and modern (e.g., cloud, native mobile app, web) technology capabilities that suit a wide variety of client needs

· Balance and breadth of technical capability across the mobile application life cycle helped win high marks for IDC's functionality/offering delivered category
