HP launches e-learning in India

BANGALORE: Hewlett-Packard Education has launched its e-learning services in

India. The company, which is into education services since the last 25 years,

has started HP Virtual Classroom–a collaborative learning platform that offers

real time learning experience. As part of the program, HP offers the training

on-line, both asynchronous and synchronous learning facilities, for individuals

and enterprise customers.

Speaking about HP Virtual Classroom, HP Education India business manager

Anand Shankaran said, "E-learning is an e-service that enables

organizations to deliver instructor-led online training. Designed for

businesses, this one-stop learning solution combines HP hosted online

infrastructure with content management and education consulting services."

HP Education offers courses in ERP/supply chain, software development,

Internet/intranet, HP-UX, Java, Linux, desktop applications and Microsoft

suites. Currently, the company is focusing on corporate customers for the

courses. Later, these will be extended to the student community. Apart from the

virtual classroom, HP has opened two training centers in Bangalore and one

center in Mumbai.
