HP launches fastest CD-recordable storage media

NEW DELHI: Hewlett-Packard (HP), a company which deals in digital imaging

solutions and services, has announced the launch of the industry's fastest

storage media, CD- Recordable C8001A with an impressive speed of 16X. The high

speed and high performance CD can store data up to 650MB/ 74 min. The storage CD

is available at a street price of Rs 60.

Primary consumers of this media at its 16x rated speed will be users who need

maximum CD-burning speed and the ultimate hardware device/media compatibility.

Additionally, many business users back up and protect individual files, folders

or archive the entire hard drive with 'hp simple back up' with disaster

recovery. Users can also create custom CDs that can be shared in more than a

billion CD, CD-ROM and DVD- ROM players around the world.

says Parikshet Singh Tomar, market development manager, supplies business,

consumer business organization, Hewlett-Packard India.

As with other HP technologies, the HP CD - Writer Plus drives are designed in

conjunction with HP CD-R and CD - RW media to offer HP customers the best

solution. HP provides a warranty of 5 years.
