HP launches entry-level integrity servers

BANGALORE, INDIA: Hewlett Packard (HP) has introduced new rack-optimized unit- the Integrity rx2660 entry-class server. The company also introduced a new version of the HP-UX 11i operating system and new model for BladeSystem c-Class environment.

The HP Integrity rx2660 is the first Integrity model of entry-class server that will handle application tier workloads and is versatile enough for porting, application serving, testing and development.

With the launch of the new line of server products, HP has made these servers available through select channel partners and also launched new channel programs to help broaden the reach of the computing platform.

"The HP Integrity rx2660 server is designed to meet the growing needs of business applications to address demanding workloads for today and tomorrow", said Kamal Dutta, Country Manager, Business Critical Systems, HP India. "Our latest server offerings and channel programs bring mission-critical virtualization to a broader range of customers in an affordable way. This is especially attractive to small and medium business (SMB) customers looking for flexibility of choices along with a reliable computing environment at a cost effective price point."
