HP launches ElitePad 900 tablet

Hewlett Packard (HP) has today announced the availability of ElitePad 900 business-class tablet in the India market. Priced at Rs 43,500, the new device run on Windows 8 Pro, and features a host on innovations. The new tablet, the company said will be available in two variants- 32 GB and 64 GB.

With new product, the personal system major is banking high on enterprise sector, including SMB vertical. HP also sees opportunity in new-age workforce such as bring your own device (BYOD) where, tablets, it said is getting lot of traction.

Commercial PC Category head at HP Printing and Personal Systems Group India Sunish Raghavan believes that company's growth is fuelled by SMBs and penetration in B and C class cities. "Enterprises are seeing increasing adoption of tablet PC and it's becoming part of BYOD," he said.

HP ElitePad 900 is an ultrathin and lightweight tablet with elegant and consumer-inspired design. With premium touch and pen experience, it comes with military-grade durability and enterprise-class security manageability. The product, company said is backed by largest service network across India.
