NEW DELHI, INDIA: Imaging and printing major Hewlett Packard (HP), with its eco-friendly Latex printing technology, banks on digital printing potential which is said to be enormous in Asia.
HP APJ director for market development at GSB Puneet Chaddha said that environmental consciousness is getting prominence in addition to cost cutting in today's landscape.
"Commercial printing by 2020 is all set to contribute 850 million tons of CO2," he said. Chaddha informed that they have stopped hazardous solvents and have developed new technology around latex to facilitate environment.
"2009 recession was far good time for our business to grow. We worked closely with our customers and partners to penetrate newer markets," he added. The company has updated 10 new digital printing systems and MIS solutions.
HP is also doubling its sales target for 2014 and eyes huge growth potential in digital printing market and related technologies. The company has witnessed 20 per cent adoption in LFPs in one year.
Based on Latex Technology, it's large format printer L26500 offers double-sided printing capabilities with minimal user intervention, and accurate and automated registration.
The printing and imaging giant provides a variety of solutions that facilitates green printing and offers products and services for vinyl, fabrics, wallpaper, polyester, vehicle wraps, interior decorations, POP display and soft signage.
The 17th Greenpeace Guide to Green Electronics 2011 recognized HP as top leader in environmental friendliness.
