HYDERABAD: We have heard enough about accessories for laptops and desktops. Following suit is the Pocket PC to dab on the bells and whistles concept. One such reseller promoting these accessories is Hyderabad-based Frontline Technologies that is importing a wide range of customized accessories for the HP iPac 6365 model.

First among the lot is the stylus. It has imported a stylus from a Taiwan-based company called Zentan. Frontline, MD, Jaiveer Rao said, “HP itself doesn't offer stylus for those who lose it. This is a fast moving product and we are getting enquiries from across the country requesting for units. Presently, we are marketing it in various states and in the next few days we would be sending it to countries like Dubai, and Sri Lanka to start with.”

While one opts for a pocket pc looking at the sleek size, components like adapter, cables, additional batteries, etc., when bundled together seem hefty. To overcome this, Frontline had imported a retractable USB cable that could well be connected to a car lighter for charging. The same cable can be used even with a laptop. Besides, it had imported a two-pin adapter that is comparatively light-weighted than what is being traditionally available along with a travel charger that not only does charging but also does synchronization.

“One has to take the iPac out every time from the pouch. To avoid this, we have designed a leather pouch with a flip model that also has slots for visiting cards, memory cards, etc,” informed Rao. With usage the iPac's screen might tend to develop scratches. For this Frontline is offering a screen protector. Available in a pack of six, this special quality silicon layer comes with a weaved cloth to clean the dust particles. Rao added, “Called StyFilm, it has got all anti static properties. When the layer is removed it will not leave any glue or marks on the screen.”

In the pipeline are additional batteries and a roll-over blue-tooth keyboard, which can replace the current thumb keyboard.
