HP-India sets up "HP Education"

BANGALORE: Hewlett Packard India has commenced its training and education-solutions operations in India by setting up HP-Education as a separate division headed by Anand Shankaran.



HPI's Education division will offer customized training on HP-UNIX systems, OpenView/ITSM, ManageX, high availability, UNIX System and NT integration and SQL apart from programs in e-business areas. Training solutions will also include skill mapping, resource requirements, and curriculum design & content and third party solutions to supplement training. Distance (Web-based/intranet based) training solutions will also be included through HP locations in India or at client sites using HP resources worldwide.



"HP Education is committed to ensuring the success, not only of the individual IT professional and end-users, but also of the Enterprise" said HP India president Ganesh Ayyar. "The division HP Education will also be supporting the development of e-services by leveraging HP's Internet technologies such as e-speak. It will help develop learning environments that will find the appropriate content for customer needs, saving them time in securing the ideal skill upgradation program for their organizations" he added.



Services include scheduled classes, skills-gap analysis, customized curricula and distance learning. Worldwide HP Education provides online knowledge services for IT professionals at it's IT Resource Center, through instant desktop access to the latest technical information.
