HP, IIIT-B to launch network university

BANGALORE, INDIA: HP in partnership with International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore (IIIT-B) today announced the launch of the HP Network University.

Based at the IIIT-B campus in Electronic City, Bangalore, the university will allow IT Professionals to advance their IT knowledge in the delivery of next generation enterprise networks said a press release.

“Next-generation networks built on converged infrastructure are going to be central to the data centre of the future.  Network University professionals will be able to design, build and operate these next generation networks,”Said Prof. Sadagopan, director, IIIT-Bangalore.

“We bring together expert faculty, best in class infrastructure and a proven industry academia relationship. Our association with HP will add immense value to our education system and bridge the gap of training between employers and academic institutions,” added Prof. Sadagopan.

“The partnership of HP and IIIT-B brings a unique model of research and education on latest in network solutions. With this University IT professionals can keep ahead of the game and deliver great value back to their organisations," said Neelam Dhawan, managing director, HP India.

Spread over three to six months, the course will cover basic to advanced levels of networking, network security, consulting, unified communication and converged infrastructure.
