HP to host Intelisys web portal solution

BANGALORE: Hewlett Packard has announced it has been selected by Intelisys Electronic Commerce to host Intelisys' Web portal solution, which enables customers to create scaleable, online business-to-business trading communities. HP is providing a available, secure mission-critical environment for Intelisys' IEC-Portal solution.



HP is hosting the replicated Intelisys environment, managing phases of portal operations, ensuring the integrity of all Web-based transactions and providing customer access to HP's 24-hour global, Multilanguage call centers. "By combining HP's industry-leading experience in managing mission-critical enterprise environments with Intelisys' expertise in developing business-to-business e-commerce solutions, we're creating a unique model for helping companies start up secure purchasing and trading communities quickly and cost-effectively," said Intelisys chief executive officer Lloyd O'Connor.



The IEC-Portal enables organizations to set up business-to-business trading communities in few months. Members of small-business communities can reach new customers and suppliers and reduce their administrative time and expenses. The IEC-Portal allows a large enterprise to conduct business with all of its preferred suppliers, regardless of the supplier's size or technical capabilities, it allows buyers to turn corporate purchasing into a competitive advantage by offering access to entire trading communities, including partners and affiliates.
