HP brings solns to help enterprises cut costs

BANGALORE, INDIA: Hewlett-Packard today announced  new initiatives for its enterprise customers that will enable business to take charge of their printing environment in multiple ways.

As a part of its strategic approach to address customized needs of large companies, HP has established a new dedicated global business unit, Managed Enterprise Solution (MES), which will further the growth of Managed Print Services(MPS) in India.

The division is structured to streamline HP's approach to the market opportunities, and ensue that direct customers receive receive the most comprehensive suite of customizable services, software and solutions integrated with HP's  complete portfolio of intelligent devices.

"HP is driving customers strategically evaluate the role imaging and printing plays in the IT conversation, signaling a new approach to managing printable content, said Nitin Hiranandani, Director - Enterprise Sales and Services, Imaging and Printing Group, HP India.

"As enterprise customers embark on the transformation from paper-based to digital processes, it is imperative they engage with a company like HP that knows how to bridge imaging and printing with IT expertise", Hiranandani added.

Elaborating on the role of the new business unit the director said that as a global leader in printing solutions, HP recognizes immense potential for enterprises to save costs and energy through managed printing, and will therefore focus on offering HP Eco Solutions to its customers.

Through the Eco Solutions printing practice, HP will collaborate customers to help them reduce their  environmental impact and save money. The practice includes an extensive portfolio of tools, software, hardware, services and expertise, such as the Green IT Action Plan, Change Management kits, and the HP Carbon Foot Print Calculator 3.0.

Additionally, HP is also enabling its channel partners to compete more effectively in imaging and printing market through the Office Printing Solutions partner program, This entails greater investment in business tools and programs which enable reseller partners to offer MPS to customers.

To reiterate its commitment to the enterprise customer, HP has also announced its largest ever roll out of new work flow solutions that are designed specifically for the public sector, manufacturing and distribution industries, and the services segment.

These solutions will enable companies to move documents seamlessly through digital and physical transitions, and in the process help control critical paper and digital documents. As a part of its new enterprise business strategy, HP has also launched manageability offerings for enterprise printing  environments, and introduced printers, scanners and supplies designed specifically for enterprises.
