The Register reports that Scott McClellan, VP/Chief Technologist, Cloud Services, Hewlett-Packard, in his public profile updated the company's cloud plans, wherein it will build an 'Amazon-like infrastructure cloud', which will offer compute, storage and networking resources.

The report further adds, "HP intends to reveal the specifics of its cloud strategy at VMware's VMworld conference in August. This could indicate that HP's technology will in some way use VMware technology."

Though the updates have been removed, it has created a lots of buzz for HP and its cloud over the cyber space.

GigaOm writes that it sees 'a possibility of HP offering a service based on Microsoft Windows Azure' and also that this 'accidental update' could be an intentional one for 'HP’s best interests to stir up a little excitement'.

Earlier, in March when HP CEO Apothekar outlined the company's cloud outlook for the future, little did he specify what it could be. So as GigaOm rightly said, HP will be discussed over this sudden 'spill' till its supposed revelation in August.
