This offering trumps current simple online backup solutions in the market with a highly advanced and effective high-availability solution, previously only available on custom built enterprise-class dedicated hardware and software systems. This service is easily deployed, and offers set-up within 24 hours, with no capital investment.

The reseller partnership with IT giant Bechtle, the most respected and well known system house in the EU, reinforces Geminare's commitment to expand within the EU through a network of local support and regional data centres to service growing demand.

As a result of the partnership, effective November 2008, Geminare will offer Bechtle's customers a host-based system that ensures their critical technology infrastructure, including all Windows based file and application servers, operates uninterrupted, with continuous access to both data and applications, even in the case of a critical system failure.

The offering includes:

  • SaaS-based, data protection via real-time WAN replication of Windows

file servers, database and applications servers for Microsoft

Exchange, SQL, IIS as well as Oracle and Blackberry
  • Continuous data protection that provides instant data recovery in the

event of isolated data corruption episodes, from a top tier data

    centre in Cologne
  • Application availability via fully automated failover and failback

for all supported servers with no onsite hardware required
  • Disaster recovery site compliance through fully automated, scheduled

tests of an organization's disaster recovery system without

disrupting the production environment or existing data protection
  • Provisioning and deployment in days from start of customer

    management, replication and reporting

"For SMBs in particular this solution gains a new prospect: Continuous system availability based on a powerful, quick to implement, flexible and scalable technology. By eliminating downtimes and breakdown costs, the constant server operation automatically makes a contribution to stabilise the business activities," says Jorg Oynhausen, Managing Director of Bechtle Remote Services GmbH.

"With the introduction of our Continuous Availability solution to the EU SMB market through strategic partnerships with companies like Bechtle, our European customers can now compete in the technology marketplace previously reserved for the elite Fortune 500 organizations," said Joshua Geist, CEO of Geminare Incorporated, Worldwide. "Application and data availability is an essential service customers assume has been taken care of. With Geminare, continuous data availability has finally become a reality with our rapidly deployed, enterprise-class solution. The Geminare platform lets Bechtle deliver business continuity as a service to their customers, opening up a highly sophisticated and powerful technology in a simple and accessible model," Geist said.
