Honeywell on the SEI CMMI trip

BANGALORE: Honeywell Technology Solutions Lab (HTSL), Bangalore today announced that it has achieved SEI CMMI Maturity Level 5 - a Level 5 CMMI rating provides the highest recognition to an organization’s software and systems engineering processes. It establishes a company as a quality provider of systems engineering, software engineering and IT services. This award builds on the previous CMM Level 5 certification.

CMMI integrates systems and software disciplines into one process improvement framework, thereby shifting the focus to the end product and the associated processes. Achieving SEI CMMI Level 5 acknowledges HTSL's ability to set process improvement goals and priorities and reiterates the maturity of its existing quality processes in developing value-added products and services. An independent appraisal team from KPMG arrived at this conclusion after interviewing more than 100 HTSL employees from all cadres and making extensive observations compiled from these interviews, the CMMI Appraisal Questionnaires and Documentary Evidences.
