Honeywell to offer engineering scholarships at VTU

BANGALORE, INDIA: Honeywell today announced the availability of Innovators Scholars Programme for the year 2010-2011 at Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum.

The program not only offers an internship to work but also offers a paid internship in the form of a scholarship that students can use to apply toward their last year in school, said a press release.

“At Honeywell, new engineers and technologists grow with us as we constantly provide them ways in which new technologies can improve the way they work and inspire them to create and innovate products on Honeywell's platform," said Srini Velidanda, head, India Staffing CoE.

"There are currently more than 500 VTU alumni working at Honeywell and we have been collaborating together on several initiatives," said a VTU spokesperson

According to the release, the Honeywell Innovators Scholarship Program is open to Bachelor's, Master's or select PhD students who will be entering their final academic year of study in 2011.
