FAIRFAX, USA:The Department of Homeland Security has awarded ManTech International Corporation a contract valued at $5.9 million to provide a wide range of information technology services that support the congressionally mandated Support Anti-Terrorism by Fostering Effective Technology Act of 2002 (SAFETY Act); a program that provides legal liability protections for providers of anti-terrorism products and services.

The award has a base period of performance of one year and three option years. ManTech has supported DHS since the inception of the SAFETY Act and will continue to provide systems engineering, engineering, regulatory compliance, testing, as well as development and business process management support to DHS’s Office of Science and Technology.

“We are proud to continue supporting DHS’ mission to administer the SAFETY Act,” said L. William Varner, president and chief operating officer of ManTech’s Mission, Cyber and Technology Solutions Group. “ManTech has been a long time partner with DHS and looks forward to continuing our support for this important program.”
