Hitachi unveils Installation Series projectors range

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Hitachi introduced its latest range of next-generation Installation Series projectors in India. Enhancing focus on the high-end projector market, Hitachi's wide-range of sixteen high performance projectors will cater to the diverse needs of varied customers from the entertainment, business and education segment.

"India has been a key market for Hitachi and despite the slowdown we have performed fairly well in 2013. Our market share in the projector segment grew to 8 percent in 2013 from 7 percent in 2012. We hope to capture 14 percent of the Indian projector market by 2015, with emphasis on the professional, high-end market." said Tarun Jain, country head - India, Hitachi Home Electronics Asia (S) Pte. Ltd.

The new DLP and LCD technology based 9000, 8000, 5000 and 4000 series projectors features Hitachi's new capabilities such as Accentulaizer and HDCR, Dual Color Wheel, Motorized Lens Shift, 360 degree projection, 2 HDMI input and the upgraded networking software while relying on the established features that deliver simple, cost effective and trouble free day to day operations.

Whether deployed in conference auditoriums, exhibition halls, large lecture theatres or stage productions, audiences are sure to be impressed with the high contrast picture quality that these new projectors deliver whereas AV professionals will appreciate and benefit from flexible installation and easy maintenance.

With AV professionals in mind, Hitachi has also integrated features such as a Central Lens Position and Perfect Fit technology to ensure this innovative range is geared up for simple, user friendly functionality.

The unique Hitachi Accentualizer uses advanced image processing technology to enhance sharpness, gloss and shade to improve image quality and picture clarity to levels comparable to flat panel screens.

The Picture-by-Picture and Picture-in-Picture feature benefits from two HDMI input connections providing greater flexibility for connection to multiple image devices such as document cameras in classrooms or conference systems in meeting rooms.

Other features include compatibility with the new Projector Quick Connection for iOS and the options of wireless connectivity and digital keystone.

The Status Monitor displays the present condition of the projector including errors, setup information and error histories while the DICOM Simulation Mode reproduces images with an advanced grayscale level which is ideal for viewing grayscale medical images, such as X-rays for training and educational purposes.

The powerful Instant Stack option offers projector synchronisation to operate in dual mode with stacked images for brighter images, alternate mode or automatic fail-safe mode for seamless back-up operation.

Furthermore, to deal with the high demands of installation environments Hitachi also offers a family of optional lenses to accompany the 9000 and 8000 series installation models. The lenses cover a wide range of projection distances and lens shifts, enabling them to adapt to the available space.
