Hitachi Data Systems partners with Equinix to provide cloud services

BANGALORE, INDIA: Hitachi Data Systems (HDS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd. has announced an agreement with Equinix, Inc., the global interconnection and data center company, to provide enterprises with a Hitachi Cloud -- Compute as a Service solution that delivers managed private cloud services inside Equinix International Business Exchange (IBX) data centers.

Working with HDS, enterprises are able to combine the platforms, software and managed solutions required to create a private cloud infrastructure that is scalable, cost effective and high performance to meet the demands of today’s business environment. The fully managed, secure, on-premise cloud solution also shifts the investment from up-front costs associated with traditional technology deployments to outcome-based, pay-as-you-go pricing.
