NEWTON: Heroix, a leading provider of agentless, multiplatform application performance and network monitoring software, has introduced new Heroix Longitude versions packaged and priced to meet the needs of smaller and mid-sized businesses. Joining the company’s existing top-of-the line Enterprise Edition are: Longitude Standard Edition, packaged to fit the needs and budgets of small to medium-sized businesses; and Longitude Professional Edition, for mid-size to larger companies.
The new additions to the Heroix product family are now available for purchase online at www.heroix.com/store/. Pricing starts at $99 per monitored server for Longitude Standard Edition; $199 per monitored server for Longitude Professional Edition.
“We are pleased to be able to offer Longitude at prices accessible to every budget. Now proactive monitoring is feasible for small to mid-size companies, with the proven robustness and out-of the-box usability that’s always been our hallmark,” said Heroix President Rick Lane.
Longitude Standard Edition includes best-practices monitoring for Windows (including Windows Event Logs), Linux, and Unix servers; VMware; Cisco devices; and critical transactions. This new entry-level package features a real-time Event Monitor, Statistics Dashboard, and interactive reporting, as well as email alerts and automated corrective action capabilities.
Longitude Professional Edition includes all the capabilities of Standard Edition and adds a range of application monitoring capabilities: Microsoft IIS, Apache Web Server, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Microsoft Exchange Server, DHCP, Active Directory, Dell OpenManage, HP Systems Insight Manager, and IBM Director.
Longitude Professional Edition also provides data center transaction monitoring, and monitoring of any network device that uses a MIB. Additional capabilities designed to serve medium to larger businesses include alert and action schedules, event escalation, data export, and Active Directory integration.
First introduced in 2005, Longitude takes an agentless approach to reporting, alerting, automated corrective action, and SLA and user experience monitoring for applications, servers, IT infrastructure, networks, and SNMP devices. Its streamlined architecture and Web-based user interface provide monitoring that is both broad and deep, without requiring any software installation on the monitored computers. Simple deployment, event consolidation and correlation, and automated corrective action help ensure optimal performance and maximum availability of business applications with minimal effort.
