Here comes a tool to get emotionally connected

HYDERABAD, INDIA: Buddibot, a company focusing on providing compassionate care and a constant presence for the elderly, remotely, has introduced a new communication tool - Buddibot 1.0 -  designed to keep the distributed families emotionally connected.

Buddibot 1.0 service is a subscription-based communication tool. It  utilizes the latest robotic, sensor, Internet and software technology to allow people to access their loved ones, especially parents, from anywhere in the world.

According to a Buddibot spokesperson, the Buddibot 1.0 software comes with generic reminders, messaging service, playlist manager and memories manager. It works with WowWee Technologies’ Rovio mobile webcam, a Wi-Fi enabled home explorer that can be controlled remotely from anywhere in the world using a web-enabled device.

Utilizing the Rovio mobile webcam’s omni-directional wheelbase and built-in camera and microphone that stream video and audio, the Buddibot service will allow for remote companionship, support and entertainment, the spokesperson added.

The new tool provides several key services like sending reminders. The users will be able to create and push podcasts, send messages, play a song, capture and store pictures. The tool also brings companionship with ability to facilitate social interactions.
