Coming with an introductory price tag of Rs 9,999, Pi is less than 10mm thick and is lightweight at 180 gm.

A Pi owner can access Infibeam.com e-book store which currently has over 1 lac e-books including all the bestsellers and new releases from the digital world. Pi can store upto 500 e-books in its internal storage. If you add a 4GB SD card, you can store upto 3000 books.

“With the 6" E Ink (R) display, when you read an e-book on Pi, you won't feel any difference from that of reading a paper book. The 8-level gray scale with no backlit display provides a crisp reading experience everywhere. You can read clearly in broad daylight without any glare,” said Infibeam's website.

Pi comes with local Indian language support allowing users to read texts in Hindi, Sanskrit and most official Indian languages.

The device features games, a music player, and a pair of earphones.
