Here comes made-in-India PC at $ 50

Going a step beyond the Android-based Aakash tablets, Mumbai-based IT enterprise WishTel has launched a low-cost PC, "PrithV", powered by Linux.

PrithV is Linux-based educational platform to be offered on tablets and net book PC, supporting 85 Global languages and offers access to a library of over 3 million books, encyclopaedia, classroom videos, virtual lab for Science, Math, and Geography.

When the education industry is witnessing a relvoutionary changes, especially in the gadget arena, the world's cheapest Linux based PC PrithV is designed and manufactured in India and is priced at US$ 50.

The company believes the new PC will serve all the global education needs.

Our objective as a technology and manufacturing company is to create affordable range of products that can contribute to Society by extending Education for free and without boundaries said Milind Shah, Chief Executive Officer, Wishtel.

PrithV shall be collaborated efforts of all teachers and Linux developers to offer free Education.

PrithV, meaning "Earth" in Ancient Sanskrit, is the world's economical Computer that can perform complete computing, programming, database management, arithmetic and Logical operations in addition to basic tasks like emails, web browsing, media, office applications etc.
