CEO Meena Ganesh said, "We are working with corporates to pilot this program to see what people are asking for. We are seeing a good uptick. Conversions are high since it's a comprehensive solution. We will launch it to the general public very shortly. We see it becoming a big part of Portea's business."

Portea is using Artificial Intelligence technology to create customized wellness solutions. "Using an AI bot we are able to create a database and a profile of the individual to recommend the right solutions and share a customized diet and fitness plan, which will be supplemented by interactions with experts," Ganesh said.

She further added, "The program goes beyond wellness. The same solution is also applicable to disease such as diabetes where lifestyle intervention is also required.” This means, apart from providing the health-coaching program, Portea will also source food items for users and deliver it in packages with the calorie count.

Portea, operating in 16 cities, has been funded by venture capital investors such as Accel, Qualcomm, and Ventureast among others. It has raised $46.5 million in funding so far.
