HCL to meet SMB requirements with cloud

NEW DELHI, INDIA: HCL Infosystems, hardware, services and ICT Systems Integration Company, today announced the launch of HCL O’zone — an end to end cloud based computing solution service for its customers.

With this, the company is introducing a new Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) platforms that enhances its capabilities in areas of application delivery and infrastructure deployment and management.

HCL O’zone would deliver the benefits of reduced capital expenses, increased data security, increased flexibility through server consolidation, reduced power and cooling, green computing and disaster recovery. The solution will also provide 24X7 technical support to manage scalability and deliver optimum performance.

The service offerings are customized to meet business automation requirements of Retail, SMB and Enterprise customers, said a press release.

George Paul, executive vice-president, HCL Infosystems, said, “We believe that India possesses a powerful IT ecosystem which will support the development and increase the demand of cloud based IT services in the years to come. We are glad that today we have been able to create a delivery framework which will support both IaaS and SaaS model.”

He added that they intend to provide a standardized cloud based structural framework to clients similar to a utility service model which is both fast and scalable and provides a secure working environment while completely de-risking against ICT skill related needs.

HCL O’zone will offer a plethora of services with multi-tenancy enablement, performance testing, pricing structure management, service catalogue management, provisioning and administration, access control and policy control, service delivery platform integration and application management enablement.

Exemplifying its commitment to the progressive changes in technology, the company has also launched cloud based solution HRMate — a solution for human resource management, and partnered with Wellogic to roll out India’s first Healthcare Information Exchange Platform on the cloud.

HCL Infosystems will cater its state-of-art cloud based services to enterprises, mid-sized organizations (SMBs) and SOHOs with the flexibility to have technology landscape monitored remotely on a regular basis while maintaining full use of tools hosted in a secure environment.

The framework would ensure a flawless delivery model and real time back-up available with three cloud centers in Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai.

With the market becoming ready for cloud, there will also be requirement of cloud-ready hardware. The opportunities has driven HCL Infosystems to augment its cloud offerings with a comprehensive range of cloud-ready laptops, desktops, thin laptops, servers, thin clients and cloud data center in a box, the release added.
