HCL launches gen next servers

NEW DELHI: HCL Infosystems Ltd today unveiled its gen-next

range of servers, based on Intel Dual-Core Xeon 5000 chipsets —coinciding with

the global launch of the new platform by Intel.






HCL Infosystems and Intel share a strategic collaboration, wherein Intel has
recognized HCL as the 'Server Leader Account'. Being a beta site partner for

Intel, HCL conducts critical testing & validation processes in the

developmental stage of these products.






These new class of dual core servers can support multiple operating systems in
the same server thus enabling virtualization & efficient utilization of

resources. These are primarily targeted for mid-end enterprise requirements.






Announcing its new range of server platforms, George Paul — executive vice
president, HCL Infosystems Ltd, said, “HCL is proud to announce yet another

launch of these revolutionary range of servers in India. Almost coinciding with

Intel's global launch, it reflects on HCL's competencies to spearhead the

offering of contemporary technologies for the Indian customers.”
